Autumn in Stockholm and new art for sale in the etsy shop!

Hi there!

The past couple of days I have been taking a walk after breakfast. It has been a great way to start the day, wake me up and get some new ideas. I have been walking to this area close to where we live called Nacka nature reserve. It is a huge area that is protected and is full of nature paths, an outside gym made of wood (one of the reasons I love Sweden) and a couple of very lovely allotments with flowers and all sorts of veggies growing there.

It’s turning in to a lovely morning routine and I really love Autumn so it is the perfect time to be outside. I have also been a bit inspired by Autumn in my shopping as our local supermarket now has many lovely root veggies including pumpkins and I especially like the small ones with the cool colours and patterns. I also bought this great Yogi tea which tastes great and reminds me of autumn. I am sure that I will be bombarding you with lots of autumnal photos over the next couple of weeks!

I have also created a few new pieces of art that I have posted in my Etsy shop. The first two are called “Joy and love mix” and “Love” and are smaller paintings measuring 4.5″x6.5″. I think that they would be a lovely little present for a friend or a loved one and are ready for framing.

The other two pieces are the normal kind of size that I like to paint at measuring at 9.5″ x 11,5″. They are called “Love is a wonderful thing” and “Grow & bloom with love”. I am really happy with how the new painting’s have turned out and I think that they look lovely in frames too.

If you fancy having a look at them in a bit more detail head over to my Etsy shop to check them out and if you have any questions drop me a line.

Cornwall, Venice and new work!

August was the month of travel, surprises and lots of lovely new paintings. We started out going to Cornwall for a week with my parents and it was lovely. Lots of sunshine, Cornish food, stunning views, seaside and even a bit of time for some painting which was great.

Then a surprise trip to Venice, arranged by my lovely boyfriend, which was amazing. We were there two days, walked around beautiful Venice and soaked in the atmosphere. The trip wasn’t the only surprise my boyfriend had up his sleeve as we got engaged! Yippie! The most memorable trip ever.

When we got back it was all about getting back to normal and working on some new painting’s for my friend, Leona’s, shop back in Nottingham called Bee & Bird. It is a lovely little shop that is selling craft supplies, art and other beautiful things. I cannot wait to see the shop when we go to Nottingham at Christmas.

So I set to work and create some new pieces of art that included tea, flowers and cake! Here are a few pictures. So now that is everything is back to normal I am focusing a lot on getting more new painting’s in my Etsy shop and I also got some photos of mw working in my studio on the pieces so you can see me at work!
